What Higher Healing is
Higher Healing is a Reiki and energy healing practice run by Kari Marsden, from a private practice in Altona North - fifteen minutes from the Melbourne CBD - and online across Australia.
People come to me at all sorts of points. Working through anxiety or grief. Recovering from something. Or at a stage where everything looks fine on paper and doesn’t feel it.
What people leave with varies. For some it's calm that outlasts the session, clearer thinking, and a sense of what they actually want to do next. For others something bigger moves - an unexpected emotional release, or something carried for years starting to give way.
You leave with what you need, at the pace that's right for you. Sometimes that's one session. Sometimes it's deeper layers unfolding over time.
Arrive as you are
You don’t have to have it figured out. Whatever turns up is welcome. Nothing here is broken and nothing needs fixing - it’s just space to grow.
The work speaks for itself
An open mind is all I ask. You'll know because you feel different. What matters is whether something shifts by the time you leave or in coming days and weeks.
It leaves with you
Practice, not pampering. Alongside the session I'll show you things you can use on your own - so coming back is a choice, not a necessity.

Who you'd be working with
I’ve rebuilt my life more than once - a serious accident and illness in my twenties, later burnout, and relationships that quietly cost me more than I realised at the time.
Higher Healing is what I built on the other side of all of it: a Reiki and energy healing practice, grounded in the same rigour I used to bring to a balance sheet across over a decade in banking and business consulting.
What Reiki is
Reiki is a Japanese practice, developed in the 1920s. The word combines rei (universal) and ki (life energy). Everything is made up of energy - this is a practice for working with it. I work with light touch, or with my hands held just above the body, on specific energy points and chakras.
Some people arrive certain about that. Others arrive curious and a bit sceptical. Both work. You’ll know by how you feel.
